Mistakes Are A Gift

I hope you feel freedom to make mistakes. Mistakes are a sign of so many great things, productivity, passion, and purpose

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something.  And something is always better than nothing.

So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you're scared of doing or fear the results of just  Do It.

Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”
― Neil Gaiman

And still this one too:“I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out
in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in
magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.”
Jack London
Advisory note: I'm assuming you are mentally stable of course, this is not a call to drive your car into a river or burn your house or leave and never return.

Calls to Action

So often we are in research mode, we gather books and inspirations, tools and tricks, we join groups. What we forget to do is act, to actually create.
When I'm teaching week long classes unexpected overarching themes develop.
I'll compile these at end of the week and we go over what we've learned. A few years ago I was astounded at the number of action words that came up through our group conversations as class evolved. We were deeply concerned with creativity that week.
Our Creativity List:
Be Bold
Grab Hold
Change it Up
Let go!
Plan for Action
Shine
Speak
Do
Reflect
Do More
Play
Love
Keep True
Can you add to this important list? What words might compel or help you to create more?
